Hangzhou has experienced continuous high temperatures for more than a month, with a recent record of 41 C. Therefore, the Hangzhou Water Treatment Technology Development Center has been taking measures to bring down work temperatures for employees.
The center adjusted working hours and extended the lunch break to reduce work intensity. It also asked heads of departments to strengthen patrols and checks, and provide proper and timely treatment for employees suffering heatstroke.
The company has also prepared drugs for heatstroke prevention. All workers at the frontline can rest in the air-conditioned meeting lounge.
To ensure safety, the company has also enhanced management of various combustible and explosive products, assigning special personnel to keep an eye on them.
