The SAP project at Jiangxi Xinghuo Organic Silicone Plant has been operating well and has generated expected results since it went online on November 12.
Smooth operations have integrated business information with production, sales and the supply chain, along with financial information, and improve the work efficiency and overall management level.
SAP is the top ERP software in the world, and Xinghuo sets high expectations. The plant organized about 70 meetings, conducted training courses as long as 1,156 hours, optimized 41 items in its procedures and added 17 new items, and employees, which consisted of 1,680 extra hours of work.
The internationally advanced MRP (material requirement planning) methods were applied to all downstream projects for organic silicone. Under the MRP, when estimated sales volume or amount of production plan is inputted into the system, the SAP system will automatically compute the production and purchase plans in accordance with information on stockpiles and orders, which would help management deal with downstream products and raw materials, to upgrade the company’s competence in responding to market information and customer service quality.
The project team also optimized the corporate organization structure, improve business procedures and system allocation, so the system could better serve daily management of the company.
